Matteo and Antonietta (just call her Toni) have been working together since they were 15.  Despite that, they have been married for almost 40 years!

Born and raised in historic downtown Rome, Italy,  they began their apprenticeship in a small shop not far from where they lived. Matteo as an upholsterer and Toni on the sewing machine.

In 1971 they emigrated to the United States to fulfill their dream of one day owning their own shop.  In 1985, with their two girls now in High School just down the road, they proudly opened MTL Upholstery in a beautiful brick storefront in Park Ridge, Il.

 There is really nothing that can take the place of experience, expertise and shear skill.  Matteo is a true artist when it comes to furniture upholstery and repair.
